Year round we have Old Spot pork and rare breed lamb, chemical free sausage and home dry cured bacon. Generally we have our very popular rare breed beef eg Long Horn or Dexter but we do sometimes sell out.
Some things are only available seasonally. This includes, pheasant and partridge (October to February), trout, mutton and wild venison.
Do you always have fresh meat in your shop?
With the exception of first thing on Wednesday mornings we have fresh meat all the time and fresh sausage from Thursday.
Do you attend local Farmers Markets?
We now only attend the Teme Valley Farmers Market at Knightwick between Worcester and Bromyard. Its always on the 2nd Sunday of the month between 11am - 1.30. It's the oldest market in the region and by far the best. People travel to it from all over the midlands and borders. Set between the river Teme and the Talbot Hotel, you can finish off your visit with the Talbots own ale and locally sourced food. http://www.temevalley.co.uk/news.htm

How should I store Happy Meats?
| a. |
Take your Happy Meat home and store in a fridge or
freezer as quickly as possible. |
| b. |
If freezing the meat, place it in the fast freeze section
so that it freezes a quickly as possible. An airtight
bag is best used to avoid "freezer burn". We
recommend that our meat is frozen for no more than nine
months and kept below -18 degrees. |
| c. |
If to be kept in the fridge, make sure your fridge
is operating between 0 - 4 degrees. The coolest part of
your fridge is around two thirds of the way down. |
| d. |
Keep your meat covered in the fridge to prevent dripping
onto other foods particularly cooked ready to eat foods.
For this reason you should place raw meat below cooked
produce. |
| e. |
As most of our sausages and burgers have no preservatives
and other chemicals added, we recommend that you eat them
within 3 days from purchase |
